At Harmonic Convergence in 1987 people were drawn to gather together all across the country. They had begun to feel the urgency. A concensus was reached that all peoples have to work together to create a better world. At the time, however, the urgency to move forward was not as pressing as it is now.
This consciousness concensus is not new. It has been emerging for many years. Perhaps the most memorable example to many of us alive today, is what went on in the 60's. More and more today we are aware of the awesome human potential for both destruction and creative innovation.
The information age, one of the greater gifts of modern human creative endeavour, has allowed us to share knowledge, ideas and inspirations.
Talk or Take Action? Our choice
While the ‘leaders’ of our nations gather together in luxury hotels to spend valuable time discussing carbon footprint emission levels, pursuing their own selfish interests and achieving nothing, WE, the people, are working like bees in a hive to create and share the honey that we know exists on this earth.
The time has come for us to take action. Rebellion and Revolt are not our path. Insinuation and Positive Action ARE.
The Times They Are a Changin'
The old system is slowly decaying and with it all of the garbage it has laden us with; poisonous food; polluted air and water; addiction to TV, dumbing down; propaganda; profit-led healthcare; a greed-fuelled economy; a petroleum-dependent lifestyle and a built-in requirement to buy more and more ego-symbol, pacifier products.
When you accept that this is the case, you can relax because we are not facing the end of the world, we are facing a discarding of one way to allow for the emergence of something magnificent and very different. The Mayans didn’t predict the end of the world or a great apocalypse. They did deduce the exponential emergence of human consciousness and greater change within ever shortening time periods.
We can create a magnificent world where we live in abundance, satisfied with the simple pleasures of nature and living life rather than working to have snatches of a life. We need to find ways to produce healthy, basic natural food, natural medicines and adequate shelter. We need to begin to harness the bounty of the earth in a very different way. There is all that we need, when we are prepared to live more simply.
Harmonic Emergence - Minds expanding in synch
As consciousness and interaction expands more and more of us are harmonising into the same lines of thinking and direction.
There are more motivational, spiritual, alternative and challenging websites than ever before and they are increasing exponentially. Different paths are leading to the recognition of the basic truth. We are part of this earth and everyone has a special, symbiotic and productive role to play in this common existence. We call this ‘harmonic emergence’. And beyond the rhetoric there are more people taking action.
If it is to be - it is up to me
Governments are spinning their wheels attempting to re-activate a system that is clogged and mired in mud. They are acting to save their own asses. They will not save us. We need to do what it takes to change our own lives beginning at home, neighbour to neighbour, slowly expanding out community to community, country to country in a global interaction. As we unite in action we are beginning to recognize that there are many potentials and that together we can make it happen.
The REAL action is going on at grass-roots level, in many different factions all of whom are united in one thing – sharing information and helping people to emerge into a new way of living and utilizing our creative power for the good and future of the earth.
The Time for Harmonic Emergence is now… and we have set an imaginary goal for 2012, not because it’s the end of the world, but because it has some significance in the greater consciousness and because we can achieve a helluva lot in 2.5 years.
A Heroic Reminder of What's Possible - Johnny Appleseed
Remember that one person can make a huge difference. American folk hero, Johnny Appleseed is a great example. Johnny Appleseed, real name John Chapman, trained as an orchardist. He was passionate about nature and animals and the right of all things to live harmoniously.
Chapman was a nursery gardener and preacher of the New Jerusalem Church. He lived a simple, subsistence life, taking only the bare basics for himself, preferring to live from handouts, go shoeless in the summer and wear cast-off clothes.
In the late 1700's, he travelled North setting up nurseries of fruit trees in sparsely inhabited areas of Illinois, Ohio and Indiana. He acted in a seer-like anticipation of those areas becoming more populated.
Chapman left the nurseries in the care of a neighbour who would tend and eventually sell the trees while he moved on to preach the gospel door to door and set up similar facilities in other areas.
When the people moved into the area, Johnny Appleseeds trees were coming to first maturity and ready to fruit providing nutritious food for the people. When he sold his trees he offered credit or barter for supplies, clothing and other useful items. His credit notes had no maturity and when peopole couldn’t pay him, he did not press the debt.
Johnny Appleseed was a pioneer in a country that was built on the spirit of people who dared to leave the old behind and sail forth in search of the new. In these challenging times we are being called upon to revive that spirit and pioneer in a way that is right for us.
And remember trends and new ways that 200 years ago took 60 years to come to fruition are nowadays taking only ONE YEAR to birth. So, even though it appears that we are running out of time, we can actually achieve ‘miracles’ much more quickly now.
Our Personal Project – The Food Forest Garden
We are dedicating ourselves to being part of the dream of Sustainable Lifetime Food for All. We are working to set up a forest food garden facility in our rural location in the Northern Georgia mountains.
We have already been offered an acre of land on which to begin.
Starting small, this project is an example of the urgent action we feel we must all take now to ensure a plentiful, health-laden food supply and medicine cabinet for many people within 5 years.
We face many challenges, but we are determined to make it happen and we will be reporting on it in our blog - Earth Based Living for the Future
